Back in China

We made it to Shantou!!!! We got to HKG at 630 as scheduled... the plane was really cool! there were a lot of movies to watch so we didn-t get bored.


In hong kong we high tailed it for the border... we immediately got a bus to a train station close to the border, but we were in such a hurry when we got to that station, that we got on a train that didn't go for the border crossing, but went to another town, so we had to go back a station and try again. We didn't have any problems crossing into china, and immediately got on a bus to shantou... but even running like that we got to shantou at 230 in the morning...

so that's when the fun started... we figured our friend munesh had got our message and knew we were coming to stay with him that night... so we went to his apt complex. since foreigners are so conspicuous the guards knew where he lived... a fat guy from indonesia who drives a nissan... pretty obvious... but his car wasn't there.. so mario went to our old favorite bars to see if he was there.. but no he wasn't and it was already 4 am, the bars were closing.. so if he wasn't there god knows where he was... the problem was that he didn't answer his cell phone... but finally at 430 he did... and guess what, he was in guangzhou! 6 hours away! yikes... well the guards were really nice and let us crash on the lobby couch til dawn...

so at 6 am we went out to walk around with our 6 bags... we walked to our old breakfast spot and ate some yummy steamed buns!!! then we came to the school office and dumped our stuff... no one was there but the live in maid.. so we just went around to check out what has changed... not much really... there are a few more roads on our old block.. but that's it... when we came back we got our schedules and talked about visas with the boss... then mario was really tired cuz he didn-t sleep as much as i did... so we got taken to our apt... which is on a different block.. but is pretty nice... it's super dirty so we went out right away to buy cleaning supplies.. it's full of dust and dirt... so now mario went to a class and i'm writing some emails... haven't really slept in 2 days... and am looking forward to sleep, but first i gotta eat good chinese food and do 2 classes tonight! the fun is already starting... well, that's the news for now...
